Terms & Conditions / Puppy Placement Terms

At Knock & Bark Miniature Schnauzers, our puppies are raised with love, daily care, and careful attention to temperament so they can become wonderful family companions. All puppies are placed as pet companions only, unless breeding rights are approved in writing before purchase. Pet puppies are sold with a spay/neuter agreement, and the new family agrees to complete spay/neuter at the proper age stated in the contract.

Families are welcome to share their preferences for color, gender, or a specific puppy, but final puppy placement is based on temperament, personality, and the best fit for each home. Puppies change as they grow, and Knock & Bark reserves the right to make final placement decisions in the puppy’s best interest. This means the puppy first preferred or selected may not always be the puppy that is the best match for the family.

All puppies are AKC registered and go home with AKC registration paperwork, health records, and a written puppy contract. Some of our puppies may have non-standard AKC colors or patterns. This means they can still be AKC registered, but they may not be eligible for AKC conformation/show competition under the breed standard. Our focus is family companionship, health, temperament, and responsible placement.

A non-refundable deposit may be required to reserve a puppy. Final payment is due one week before pickup, unless another written agreement has been made. All required paperwork must be completed and signed before or at the time of pickup. Puppies are released only after payment, contract, and pickup details are complete.

Each family agrees to provide proper care, safe housing, veterinary care, training, and a loving home for the puppy. New owners are encouraged to take the puppy to their veterinarian within the time stated in the contract after pickup. Health guarantee details, care instructions, vaccine/deworming records, and any additional requirements will be explained in the written contract.

If at any time the family can no longer keep the puppy, the puppy must be returned to Knock & Bark. The puppy may not be sold, surrendered, rehomed, transferred, or placed in a shelter or rescue without written approval from Knock & Bark. This policy is in place to protect every puppy for life.

The puppy contract is a legal agreement between Knock & Bark and the buyer. If the buyer does not follow the terms of the contract, Knock & Bark reserves the right to take legal action to protect the puppy and enforce the agreement.

We love staying connected with our puppy families. Families are welcome to send friendly updates, photos, and videos as their puppy grows. With permission, updates may be shared on our website, social media, or future puppy family pages.

Knock & Bark reserves the right to refuse, delay, or cancel a puppy placement at any time if we feel the home is not the right fit, the puppy’s needs are not being met, or the terms of the agreement are not being followed.
